Chef Alan Rutter has big ambitions for Reading’s iconic Abraham Lincoln hotel.
Rutter, owner of Chef Alan’s in West Reading, signed on this week to run the food service operations of the historic hotel on Fifth Street. In addition to the restaurant and bar, he’ll be running the hotel’s room service, banquet and wedding operations.
“We’re excited,” he said Friday as he stood on a balcony in the hotel lobby with his brother Jeff.
