Ribbons of Respect honor law enforcement
Crime Alert Berks County has begun its second annual Ribbons of Respect campaign. The organization plans to distribute more than 15,000 ribbons, three times as many as it did in 2015.
The program encourages people to hang a blue ribbon in a prominent location as a way of honoring people who work in law enforcement.
“This is a perfect way to honor all those police officers who put their lives on the line to protect all of us every day,” Crime Alert President Barry Rohrbach said. “We are happy to partner with the Berks Municipal Partnership, county of Berks, city of Reading, the First Class Township Commissioners, the Berks County Association of Boroughs and the Berks County Association of Township Officials to kick off this campaign.” –
